Survey Shows a Shocking 50% of Men Subjected to Violence by Their Wives

According to a recent assessment conducted by the Al-Aqsar Studies Center in Egypt, domestic violence has reached alarming levels within the country. The survey reveals that more than 50 percent of Egyptian husbands have been reported to physically assault their wives, indicating a widespread issue. Surprisingly, the study also indicates a concerning trend of increasing violence by wives towards their husbands, with 56.6 percent of married husbands experiencing spousal violence.

The association between low education levels and increased instances of violence among wives is one startling review conclusion. According to the study, 87 percent of illiterate wives are more aggressive than their educated counterparts. It's alarming to learn from the survey report that 5.63 percent of wives turn to knives during violent outbursts, and that about one third of the wives don't show any remorse for their behaviour.

These statistics shed light on the prevalence and severity of domestic violence within Egyptian households, emphasizing the urgent need for awareness, education, and intervention to address this concerning issue. Efforts must be made to educate both husbands and wives about healthy relationships and conflict resolution, as well as providing support and resources for victims of domestic violence. By addressing this issue head-on, Egypt can strive towards creating a safer and more secure environment for its citizens.
